Cartier presents the [Sur]Naturel high jewelry exhibition, exploring the beauty of nature with colored gemstones.

Cartier Last year, the [Sur]Naturel high jewelry exhibition, inspired by nature, was held at the Yuz Museum on the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Recently, this exhibition has also opened at The Murray, Hong Kong, showcasing over 400 pieces of jewelry and watches, celebrating nature.

The natural world is full of diverse forms, much like finely crafted jewelry. The [Sur]Naturel high jewelry collection combines figurative and abstract styles, vivid lines, and rich color contrasts to outline the forms and vitality of flora and fauna.

At this exhibition, you can admire high-end jewelry that incorporates natural wonders, with a focus on the NEILA necklace designed in the iconic “fruit purse” style. The centerpiece of the necklace is a rare elongated oval Ceylon sapphire, highlighting the necklace’s slender design. The necklace is also adorned with red, blue, and green gemstone elements, creating a color scheme reminiscent of a painting.

Wildlife is also the inspiration for this series, such as the BOHMI necklace on display with carefully arranged diamonds and agate, mimicking the stripes of a zebra. The playful black lines on the necklace highlight the vibrant hues of 10 beautiful rubies, while the slightly off-center setting of the rubies brings out the necklace’s dynamic beauty.

The classic antique series is also a highlight of the exhibition, and the white gold crown WAVE, born in 1914 and set with diamonds, is one of them. This eye-catching crown was specially customized by a well-known American financier for his wife, with a unique design featuring an inverted wave pattern with inset diamonds in the middle layer, complemented by striped agate, making the design quite rare.

You can also enjoy the brand’s high-end watch series at the same event, such as the Panthère Mini Mystery Clock in different color tones. It uses a mini movement that debuted in 1912, with the hands appearing to float on a transparent dial, and the clock’s natural crystal engraved with concentric patterns, the base adorned with the brand’s symbol, the panther, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.
