With the launch of the first high-end jewelry collection, the brand’s high-end jewelry boutique has also officially opened, located in the iconic Place Vendôme in Paris. And just at the end of last month, this batch of jewelry finally arrived in Hong Kong, allowing everyone to appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship of each piece up close, allowing you to fully experience Alessandro’s love and poetic fantasy for jewelry.
The name Hortus Deliciarum originates from a 12th-century Latin encyclopedia “Garden of Delights,” a series of over 200 pieces, all personally designed by Alessandro Michele and handmade by Italians, most of which are unique creations, only one of its kind. In addition to colorful gemstones, familiar emblem symbols, animal elements, and mythological inspirations can also be seen in each piece of high jewelry, revealing Alessandro’s love for medieval mystery and dreamy atmosphere.
The work revolves around three main themes: the first is a tribute to the ancient symbol of immortal love. Bright colored gemstones are at the center, pierced by arrows adorned with feathers, in a trembling posture as if just stirred by the god of love Cupid.
The second theme pays tribute to the magnificent animal kingdom. The animal world is an important source of inspiration for the brand’s iconic patterns, with lions, tigers, and Dionysus closely associated with the brand, complemented by gemstone inlays and hand-carved interpretations of the brand’s classic animal theme.
The third theme is to present the natural beauty of gemstones, with dazzling colored gemstones and traditional inlay methods that are eye-catching even when worn alone.
