Recently, Gucci has launched a new Lion Head fine jewelry collection, making it the “star” once again.
Like a king, the lion represents strength, courage, and power, as well as symbolizing wisdom and noble qualities. As early as the 2015-16 autumn/winter menswear show created by Alessandro Michele for Gucci, the lion head ring began to make its mark. The newly launched Lion Head high jewelry collection is also full of momentum, with earrings, pendants, necklaces, rings, and bracelets featuring lifelike lion head elements at its core, crafted from 18K white and yellow gold, and with diamonds set in the lion’s eyes, giving them a piercing gaze. Gucci’s love for lions is not limited to the fashion world. The brand also joined the Lion’s Share Foundation established by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and corporate partners in February this year, making a commitment to protect the natural environment and wildlife. The goal is to raise over $100 million annually for the next 5 years to protect endangered species and their natural habitats.
