Every month, facing the arrival of “menstruation”, in addition to the physical pain, easy fatigue, and low mood, even the condition of the skin is on the decline! These “painful” experiences are well understood by girls, and besides trying to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, it is also important to take good care of the skin during this particularly vulnerable period. L’Oréal recently announced a partnership with the free menstrual tracking app Clue to conduct in-depth research on the impact of the female physiological cycle on skin health.
Women who usually keep track of their menstrual cycle habits will definitely be familiar with Clue. This app currently has about 12 million users in 190 countries and regions, and has been rated as the “best free menstrual tracking” app by the academic journal Obstetrics & Gynecology published by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The collaboration between L’Oréal Group and Clue aims to understand the changes in skin during the menstrual period. By referencing physiological cycle data from women from puberty to menopause, they hope to develop skincare products suitable for women of different ages to meet their skincare needs.
During the menstrual period, the skin condition becomes unstable due to the influence of progesterone and hormone levels in the body. Therefore, girls will find that oiliness and acne always come along with menstruation, and in severe cases, skin allergies may occur! L’Oréal’s beauty department will work with clinical experts to publish content on menstrual cycles and skin health on the Clue official website, allowing girls to better take care of their skin during special times!
