At London Fashion Week, presenting the FW2022 new collection, Simone Rocha once again lives up to fans’ expectations, embodying the brand’s luxurious and romantic style, bringing a new collection that is both brand-specific and innovative. In addition to clothing, accessories, handbags, and shoes that are attractive, even the makeup design at this presentation is full of surprises.
The brand invited Gucci Beauty’s global makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver to design the makeup for the event. Thomas de Kluyver is skilled at presenting unique makeup aesthetics in an artistic square shape. After discussions with designer Simone Rocha, they decided to continue the accessory elements from the 2022 autumn/winter collection on the models’ faces, creating a more cohesive overall look.
Thomas de Kluyver pieced together a large number of gemstones, pearls, and crystal elements commonly found in fashion to create eye accessories, replacing the past 2D eye makeup with a shimmering three-dimensional element. Carefully considering the theme of the fashion collection, the artistic and aesthetically pleasing glitter eye makeup successfully stood out, becoming the most applauded and talked-about runway makeup at the 2022 Autumn/Winter London Fashion Week.
