Last week, we just introduced the super crazy GG Logo hairstyle that won Alessandro Michele’s favor at the Gucci Cosmogonie show. At the just debuted Dior Men 2023 show, the eye-catching alternative Buzz Cut once again made an appearance, becoming the hairstyle focus of the show.
Dior held its Men’s Collection 2023 Early Spring release event on May 19 in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, USA. The brand’s Men’s Collection Creative Director Kim Jones collaborated with the popular designer Eli Russell Linnetz, who is admired by A$AP Rocky and Kylie Jenner, to launch a collaborative design with his trendy brand ERL, featuring the theme of California Couture.
The collection incorporates a large number of candy colors that are not often seen in men’s fashion designs, with a mix of sky blue and peach pink blended with pastel blue and lavender tones as the main theme of the collection, injecting the casual and free American West Coast culture into high fashion. To complement the clothing theme, hairstylist Jacqueline Bieber, who was in charge of the show’s hairstyles, designed an alternative Buzz Cut hairstyle for models with Buzz Cut short hair.
Specializing in creating different patterns for Buzz Cut hair dye, Jacqueline Bieber has designed a sky blue hair color with pink floral patterns and a bright orange hair color with a peace symbol shaved in. The former floral pattern evokes memories of the once popular Y2K era chat software ICQ, while the latter adds rhinestone embellishments to the peace logo, making it even more eye-catching. After seeing demonstrations of #GucciCosmogonie and #DiorERL, there is definitely reason to believe that alternative Buzz Cut will be the next trend in men’s hairstyles!
