The concept of the metaverse has transitioned from the tech world to the fashion world, and is finally set to be embraced in the beauty industry by Byredo. Byredo recently announced a collaboration with the virtual fashion entity RTFKT Studios to launch a metaverse project called “Alphameta,” introducing the first batch of perfumes applied to the metaverse in the beauty industry.
Byredo announced that they will create scents suitable for the metaverse through the Alphameta project. The brand will release 26 sets of elements, each set representing different emotions, and then combine emotions with scent elements using colors. Users can freely mix and match the appropriate scent elements according to their personal preferences, and then wear the halo representing the scent element on their metaverse “avatar” to create a more “three-dimensional” identity setting. We look forward to seeing how Byredo’s future metaverse perfumes will be presented to everyone!
