For girls who love desserts, it’s hard to resist the fresh and sweet scent of vanilla. Even Mr. Dior is fond of a dessert with vanilla elements! Recently, Dior’s chief perfumer, François Demachy, created a new fragrance named “Vanilla Diorama” after this delicious treat, turning the dreamy dessert into a delightful aroma!

Mr. Dior’s favorite dessert is quite mysterious, with its appearance and recipe unknown to the public, only knowing that it cleverly combines vanilla pods drizzled with orange glaze and bitter chocolate. François Demachy incorporates the vanilla from the dessert into his creation, the Vanilla Diorama, which is not only a new addition to the La Collection Privée Christian Dior fragrance series, but also his tribute to this dessert.

François Demachy interprets Vanilla Diorama in a playful way, specially selecting Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar as the source of the fragrance. This amber-colored vanilla is not only sweet but also uniquely flavored, like a dessert with just the right amount of sugar. The vanilla also hints at woody notes, amber, and the warm aroma of cocoa, bringing out an elegant quality.

Vanilla Diorama breaks free from the stereotypical impression of vanilla sweetness, presenting a warm, rounded, and slightly wild scent. With juicy citrus fruits as the top notes, the surging fragrances of orange and lemon intertwine to create a light and pleasant feeling, while a hint of bitterness from the fresh and sweet scents is mixed with a light touch of wine. Enhanced with a smooth cocoa scent, embraced by patchouli, it brings out the rich aroma of spices such as cardamom and pink pepper. The base notes are complemented by the smooth sandalwood, weaving a pleasant and comforting fresh scent, while exuding a delicate and charming noble temperament.
