西九M+博物馆继9月举行”M+希克藏品：别传”展览后，近日带来日本艺术家靉嘔于香港的首个个人展览”靉嘔：虹虹虹”，展示出他近五十件1950年代初至2000年代作品。
擁有「彩虹藝術家」外號的日本藝術家靉嘔，原名飯島孝雄，於1931年在日本出生。他的別名由兩個漢字組成，「靉」形容雲多之貌，而「嘔」則意指嘔吐。靉嘔成長於第二次世界大戰期間，早期創作受戰後餘波影響。直至1958年移居紐約，並成為國際前衛藝術團體激浪派的一分子，這些經歷令他堅信藝術應普及大眾。
Due to the rainbow’s association with “hope,” it has become a signature motif in the works of Ai Weiwei. Over the past 60 years, he has extended this motif beyond the canvas, creating prints, sculptures, installations, and environmental art. From this exhibition, it is evident that Ai Weiwei’s unwavering sense of humor, curiosity, and imagination exude a unique artistic charm.
