当创作路遇上瓶颈，有时走远一点去感受生活，寻获灵感，反而是最佳方法去推动自己继续向前。本地艺术家郑婷婷近年前往挪威留学，体会到地球另一端与香港截然不同的生活环境、天气及创作氛围，然后将这一段珍贵的个人经历转化成创作，带来最新个人展览「夜行」。
This exhibition was inspired by an artist’s experience of returning home at night in Bergen, Norway. It was deep into the winter night when she missed the last bus from the city center to her home, so she had to walk back following the light rail tracks, a journey that took her four hours. When she finally got home, she immediately curled up and fell asleep from exhaustion, but the experience of that night stayed with her. The indescribable emotions and sense of unease at that time could only be slowly sorted out and surfaced through the repetitive creative process, and these works became a reorganization of memory.
挪威漫长的冬季令艺术家长期在室内活动，而在独处的时间里，让她培养出一些新的习惯，例如画画、缝纫、染布和写作等，而这些活动亦让她拥有更多内省自处的机会，并将种种省思投放至画布之上。
艺术家在挪威居住的经历使她对光线变得敏锐，挪威的冬季日照时间很短，与香港有很大的差别。此外，当地天气长期偏阴多雨，白天是偏蓝绿调的。因此，她希望展场及画作能呈现创作时注满自然光的环境、光的触感与其微妙的变化，因而产生这一系列色调较为阴暗的新作。
当观众顺着画廊空间的展示依次观赏作品，犹如重回艺术家当时在挪威夜行的路线，体验在漆黑中的独处经验。
