In recent years, there have been many popular illustrations in Korea, and LYCHEE & FRIENDS is one of them. This cute little bear with a giant lychee on its head has recently come to the “THE ART ALLIES” art exhibition at 13A New Street Art Gallery!
LYCHEE & FRIENDS is a fashion brand founded by a Korean illustration team in 2016. It has collaborated with various brands such as FujiFilm, bossini, and LINE, and has held different art exhibitions in Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. This “THE ART ALLIES” art joint exhibition features over 30 works created in collaboration with artists from different regions, including Korean artists Wen Shengyan, Choi Ha Young, and Joo Jae Bum; Japanese painters Ayaïro, Wakaru, and Yuta Nishiura; Argentine artist Javier González Burgos; Taiwanese ceramic artist Guo Shufan; Indonesian multimedia artist Redmiller Blood; Filipino artist Kapitan; and local artist Zoie Lam.
Some exhibits are even being sold for the first time, including Ayaïro’s My Favorite Secret Spot and Redmiller Blood’s LFG Lychee prints, as well as Yuta Nishiura’s handmade wooden sculptures.

In addition to the works of “Lizhi Bear”, the works of Kabekui, Mameko Maeda, Mami Mog, and Yeka Haski are another highlight of the exhibition. These four Japanese artists combine traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary pop culture, creating works with a distinct artistic style that exude the charm of the East, echoing Tokyo as the vibrant capital of fashion.
In addition, the exhibition also offers for the first time a limited edition of 100 LYCHEE & FRIENDS vinyl figurines from “The Baller – Mango Pudding” series, featuring a stylish design with luminous elements! You can also purchase other “The Baller” series on-site, including the classic style “LYCHEE”, the popular girly pink “SAKURA”, and the playful “COLA”.
