Flabjacks「WELCOME HOME」

Harbour City Art Museum brings the Flabjacks “WELCOME HOME” art exhibition, showcasing 29 acrylic paintings full of childlike and colorful charm, along with the debut of two new characters, “Dinosaur” and “Tiger”. Inside the venue, there is also a 4-meter-tall pink dinosaur wooden sculpture with a smile, serving as your guide for the journey!

After gaining international fame with her creation Flabjacks, her first solo exhibition in Hong Kong holds special significance, with the theme “WELCOME HOME.” Although “home” remains an abstract concept for her, nature brings her a sense of comfort and tranquility, a simple yet happy feeling. Inspired by the natural environment, she creates paintings with a backdrop of a dark forest and shimmering starry sky, aiming to evoke resonance with the concept of “home” through the harmony between humans and nature.

Flabjacks was born in a boring and lengthy meeting, quickly developing from casual doodles into a complete worldview, with each character having easily recognizable features – chubby bodies, round big eyes, and thick red lips. In this whimsical world, whether it’s a flower, a planet, or a mountain, all things have their unique and quirky souls.
