From the black and white old streets to the neon-lit Kowloon district, 9 photographers take you on a journey through the streets of Hong Kong!

For a long time, Hong Kong has nurtured many renowned photographers, and many of their themes revolve around Hong Kong streets. Why has Hong Kong become a street photography paradise? What attractions or even magic does it possess that enable different photographers to create classic works that reach the international stage?

The rich street life and vibrant street culture, combined with rapid development over the decades, make Hong Kong like a constantly changing landscape, with a fascinating mix of old and new. Every corner hides countless beautiful moments, and every second is an opportunity for photographers to capture poetic images with their cameras.

The “Hong Kong Streets” joint exhibition presented by Blue Lotus Gallery will showcase street photography from different eras and styles in Hong Kong, taking viewers on a visual journey through the street stories captured by various lenses. The exhibition will begin with the documentary street photography works of Ho Fan from the 1950s to 1960s, accompanied by iconic neon light images documented by Keith Macgregor, black and white works from 1980 by Robin Moyer, and 1980s snapshots of daily life captured by Greg Girard.
