Only by slowing down can we quietly appreciate the beauty in life. For artist Yang Shiyun, capturing moments in life is a part of her creative process. She often connects characters with emotions, including “a charming furry friend.” Because of her fondness for furry pets, she is inspired to create a whimsical animal world with a light and joyful touch.
A work of art often reflects the artist’s creative state of mind. Most of her works have a dreamy atmosphere, presenting a sense of joy and relaxation. This is because the elements in her paintings are things that bring her happiness, such as adorable bears, magical cats, and cute rabbits, which are absolutely heartwarming.
Her happy moments mainly come from the immersion in painting and art appreciation since childhood, which has laid a solid foundation for her love of art and is also the source of her happiness from the bottom of her heart. The artist has followed different art mentors and extensively studied “how to paint” in various works, never slackening, and pouring her passion for art into painting. Since 2018, she has followed her enlightening teacher, Jiang Weilin, to continue to improve her painting skills, develop her own style, and create her own “wonderful box”.
