Galerie Koo presents the latest exhibition featuring Hong Kong artist Kang Yanping’s solo exhibition “Dialogue with Nature.” Only by abandoning the idea of putting oneself above all things and approaching nature with a sense of awe can one recognize the interdependence between humans and nature. Kang is passionate about nature and hopes to understand the laws of nature through the creative process and engage in dialogue with it.
Kang Yanping is intoxicated with ink painting, and her works often exude an endless vitality and vitality. The majestic ink brushstrokes flow freely on the screen, revealing a spiritual brushwork and ink touch.

The works exhibited this time are mostly inspired by Kang’s feelings when she comes into contact with nature, such as the moment when she brushes past the mountains. She uses bold brushstrokes to express the emotions triggered by the images of natural textures, delving into the more abstract spaces, dynamics, vitality, and charm hidden within natural landscapes. She employs a collage technique to rearrange paper, creating layers of texture, forming intricate and dense lines, transforming into another meaningful combination.
“The Encounter in the Mountains” series perfectly embodies Kang Yanping’s expression of the grand beauty in his landscape paintings. Unlike the traditional flat and distant landscapes in paintings, the artist depicts mountains and mountain ranges up close, rendering a pursuit of the harmonious beauty of the sublime and vast nature.
