The short-tailed kangaroo Quokka, which is popular in Australia, captivates people around the world with its cute smile and innocent big eyes, and is known as the “happiest animal in the world” because of its “smiling face”. Although they only live on a small island in Western Australia, the Hong Kong Museum of Art is bringing them to Hong Kong!

South Korean illustrator Kim Tae-eun has created many cute little animals, including the Quokka, Bobo the Gummi Panda, and Marsh the Cotton Candy. The Hong Kong Museum of Art will present the artist’s first overseas exhibition “Quokka in Town!” starting in August, leading a group of adorable characters to roam the streets of Hong Kong!

The exhibition venue will be set up as an airplane, Quokka and a group of friends leave the wilderness, take a plane to Hong Kong, and curiously wander through the streets and alleys of Hong Kong, exploring this colorful city to the fullest. The artwork depicts their various adventures in this unfamiliar city, from waiting at the airport, sending luggage, to touring Hong Kong. The adorable characters will definitely melt the hearts of the audience.

These cute characters are from the Korean creative brand Dinotaeng, which tells the story of the protagonist Quokka and his lively and amusing friends in Marshville. Their charming and delightful images have been highly regarded by major brands, and they have collaborated with many brands in the past to launch products. The designer connects animals, nature, and everyday items through creative little stories, bringing the simple and beautiful daily life of the characters into our lives.

In addition to the painting exhibition, there are also over a hundred themed boutique items for sale on-site. Don’t miss the chance to bring home this adorable Quokka from the exhibition!
