WOAW Gallery, which often brings surprises to local art lovers, has recently launched a new project. This time, they have teamed up with Avant Arte, a Dutch art sharing platform that has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Cai Guo-Qiang, Yoko Ono, Jenny Holzer, to create the latest art project. The joint exhibition “WoP: Art on Paper” showcases original works from 24 emerging and well-known artists from around the world. The exhibition opened in April at the Central Gallery.
WOAW Gallery’s curatorial concept this time is to embody a kind of eclecticism, where works are not limited by fixed forms of expression, and bring together diverse aesthetic styles. Therefore, the best works of 24 emerging artists from around the world are combined to present a harmonious and balanced visual effect.
The participating artists include rising stars in the contemporary art world, such as Roby Dwi Antono from Indonesia, Baldur Helgason from Iceland, Dominique Fung from Canada, Nigel Howlett from the UK, and James Jean from the US, among others. Despite each artist’s unique background and style, they all use paper as their medium of creation. While each piece exudes a different artistic language, when combined, there is no sense of discord.
This time, WOAW Gallery, focusing on avant-garde contemporary art, collaborates with the world’s most popular online art platform Avant Arte, bringing together the unique aesthetics and creativity of different art creators, which is sure to bring a visual feast to art lovers!
