Tsim Sha Tsui K11 MUSEA has recently welcomed many new art installations and exhibitions, including the “The Anecdotes Of Ages” series created through a collaboration between the famous British artist Peter Blake and the whisky distillery The Macallan. In addition to showcasing whisky labels redesigned by Peter Blake in his style, the exhibition also features unique wheat field art installations.
When it comes to the “Godfather of British Pop Art” Peter Blake, one of his most well-known works is the album cover he designed for the rock band The Beatles in 1967. The current exhibition “The Anecdotes Of Ages” is his third collaboration with The Macallan, following previous ones in 1986 and 2012.
In this exhibition, Peter Blake took inspiration from the barley fields of the Speyside Macallan Estate in Scotland to create a lifelike golden barley field art installation with lighting. With mirrors surrounding it, it creates an infinite visual effect. The pink lights above the barley field give a dreamy and aesthetic feeling, making it a definite must-visit spot for photos.
In addition, the exhibition also brings Peter Blake’s studio in the UK to Hong Kong, allowing everyone to experience the creative process of this art master.
