Since its inception in 1966, the “Warsaw International Poster Biennale” is one of the oldest poster art exhibitions in history, and this exhibition is coming to Hong Kong for the first time this year, bringing “Posterized: Warsaw International Poster Biennale in Hong Kong” to PMQ, showcasing posters designed by several internationally renowned design masters.
This large-scale overseas retrospective exhibition is organized by PMQ and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Hong Kong. Curators Agnieszka Mori and Max Skorwider have selected 140 posters from the past 50 years of award-winning works, showcasing pieces from approximately 120 designers from 23 countries and regions. The exhibition includes works by pop art master Andy Warhol, Japanese design masters Kazumasa Nagai, Kazumasa Nagai, and Yusaku Kamekura, as well as Polish designer Wojciech Zamecznik, and German visual poet Gunter Rambow, offering a glimpse into different artistic styles and historical cultural symbols.
The exhibition also showcases the main visual designs of previous biennials, historical photos, etc., while also offering DIY workshops, film screenings, designer guided tours, and other activities. Don’t miss out if you’re interested.
