Adorn your wardrobe with Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and Monet’s “Water Lilies”! UNIQLO collaborates with MoMA to launch a collection of clothing featuring classic artworks!

Not everyone can afford the authentic artworks of legendary painters, but we can bring these masterpieces home in a different form!

Recently, UNIQLO collaborated with The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to launch a new co-branded clothing series, MoMA Art Icons, featuring works by artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Dali, Mondrian, LeWitt, and Popova designed into T-shirts and hoodies, allowing everyone to easily collect these “art treasures”!

In terms of T-shirts, the most anticipated ones are definitely the two that feature the works of two Impressionist masters. The Van Gogh T-Shirt features a reproduction of “Starry Night” (1889). Van Gogh’s works are known for their moving beauty and vibrant colors, with this piece being one of the most well-known and impactful.

The Monet T-Shirt features a reproduction of Water Lilies (1914–26). As a proponent of the Impressionist movement, Monet drew endless inspiration from the plants, trees, and ponds in his garden at Giverny, France. Wearing such a iconic artwork is sure to catch everyone’s eye!

In addition, the Mondrian T-Shirt features the design of “Composition No. II, with Red and Blue” (1929) on the pocket. In order to develop a universal artistic language, Mondrian simplified the composition of his paintings into grids and primary colors, becoming one of the representative works of the new neoplasticism in contemporary art.

The style of Salvador Dali features a reproduction of “The Persistence of Memory” (1931). Dali’s inspiration comes from the subconscious, dreams, and imagination in surrealist works, blending reality and fiction to showcase a unique surrealist charm.

There are also two long-sleeved casual tops, one is Liubov Popova’s “5 x 5 = 25: An Exhibition of Painting” painted in 1921, and the other is a work by Sol LeWitt, a key figure in the development of conceptual art in the 1960s, painted in 1977.

The T-Shirt is priced at 99 Hong Kong dollars, while the long-sleeved version is 149 Hong Kong dollars. This collaborative series selects artists with a profound influence on art history and their paintings as design inspiration, allowing everyone to purchase classic masterpieces at an affordable price. It combines art with fashion trends, making it a worthwhile purchase!
