NFT art trend sweeps the auction market, and CHRISTIE’S Sotheby’s will also host an online auction titled “No Time Like Present” from September 17 to 28. This auction by Christie’s will mark the first time NFT encrypted art has landed in the Asian auction market, and it is a milestone for Crypto Art.
The upcoming leading works in the “No Time Like Present” online auction by Christie’s include a rare set of “CryptoPunks” created by the American digital art duo Larva Labs. Larva Labs started creating and releasing CryptoPunks in 2017, with a total of 10,000 24 x 24 pixel CryptoPunks characters to date, each presented with different hairstyles, clothing styles, and designs.
In addition, Christie’s “No Time Like Present” will also auction Larva Labs’ latest masterpiece “Meebits” and Yuga Labs’ creation “Bored Ape Yacht Club” (BAYC), bringing more unique characters. It is worth mentioning that Meebits and BAYC are being publicly auctioned for the first time outside of NFT trading platforms, making it particularly significant.
