In recent years, we often hear about “Made in Hong Kong.” Various industries have discovered many hidden treasures and experts in their respective fields. Even singers’ concert designs or music videos are gradually using local animation production. Recently, Terence Lam released a new song “No Answer,” and the COVER ART was illustrated by Hong Kong illustrator Pen So. Even Terence Lam left a message for him saying, “Thank you for giving ‘No Answer’ the most suitable and visually appealing cover.”

Hong Kong illustrator and graphic designer Pen So
He, who is skilled in using a fountain pen for drawing, fills his works with dreamy and surrealistic images and colors under delicate strokes and black and white lines, which is amazing. His love for comics has gradually allowed him to unleash his talent for painting, inspired by many renowned masters in the comic world such as Ma Rongcheng, Makoto Shinkai, and Hayao Miyazaki.
From Hong Kong scenery to famous figures, urban legends to hot topics, what he depicts is the unique people and city of Hong Kong. And what he draws are everyday things that inspire him, and he has also illustrated many local works, such as the song works “Invisible Playground”, “A New World Starting from Zero”, “Drifting Classroom”, and even films like “Diary of a Young Boy”, “Under the Sun”, “Twilight’s Last Gleaming”, “When the Dead Come Home at 44”.
