After experiencing three years of co-ed fashion shows, Valentino is bringing the show back to Milan, where Mr. Valentino Garavani first held a menswear show in 1985.
In 2024, the spring/summer season is named “Valentino The Narratives,” with creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli breaking the traditional concept of menswear. Through reevaluation and contemplation of masculine qualities, a revolutionary and modern new perspective is discovered.
He draws inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi, presenting flowers that symbolize romance and vitality in various different forms in the collection, such as large-scale prints, embroidery, or replacing ties with flowers to adorn shirt collars, expressing a rebellion against the established impression of traditional menswear.
As for accessories, the bags collaborated with Porter have become a hot topic. The classic nylon fabric combined with Valentino’s logo includes designs such as briefcases, handbags, and the brand’s signature V logo. It is understated luxury yet practical.
