After months apart and traveling to various places, Kim Jones finally returns to Dior Men for the new season release. In May, Kim Jones will lead Dior menswear to another city, bringing the Spring 2023 collection to Los Angeles for the presentation. The fashion show is confirmed to take place on May 19 at 8 pm Paris time (11 am the next morning Hong Kong time), and ZTYLEZ MAN will bring you the live broadcast.
In the new season, Kim Jones continues to uphold his unique open-minded creative thinking. In addition to revealing that the Spring 23 collection will be centered around the local California skate culture, he also surprised by announcing the invitation of the emerging American designer Eli Russell Linnetz and his eponymous brand ERL, who made it to the final 8 of this year’s LVMH Prize from California, as guest designers for the new season of Dior menswear collection, collaborating on different brand icons such as the Bar Jacket.
The brand recently released a teaser, showing a neon sign composed of “DIOR” and “ERL”, with a design featuring palm tree-shaped lights and “VENICE BEACH Party” signage, inspired by the most iconic local clubs to create a truly authentic local atmosphere.
Furthermore, the brand has also shared the Spring 23 collection tags designed by designers Eli Ressell Linnnetz and Kim Jones, featuring pink tones and hand-drawn floral patterns, exuding a California cultural vibe. Therefore, it is believed that this collection will be filled with elements of Eli Ressell Linnnetz’s creative vision – everything California and the joy of free creation.
