This season, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons serve as co-creative directors, focusing on the theme “Let’s Talk About Clothes” and advocating for clothing suprematism. The two designers prioritize the practicality of clothing and take minimalism to the extreme, replacing extravagant designs with simple silhouettes.
In the entire series, the male models did not wear shirts. Within the sleek suit style, they exposed their chest skin, with only two pointed collars flipped out as highlights. However, visually, it still gives the impression of a shirt. Although it may seem a bit thin for autumn and winter wear, this innovative style is believed to inevitably create a new trend.
This season’s menswear, although taking a minimalist approach, does not mean that the brand’s style has been taken away. The brand’s signature contradictory aesthetics can still be seen on the runway, such as expanding the lines of the MA-1 flight jacket and exaggerating the proportions of the military jacket hats, which form a stark contrast with other models’ exposed chests.
