Modern art can bring inspiration to the watch industry, Zenith followed up in 2020 with a specially designed waterproof canvas covering the historic façade of the brand’s watch factory; after launching the instantly sold-out DEFY 21 limited edition watch series in 2021, this year once again collaborated with Argentine-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone to release the DEFY Extreme Felipe Pantone limited edition watch.

The design inspiration for the watch comes from Pantone’s “Planned Iridescence” series, which boldly combines vibrant colors, metallic elements, geometric shapes based on mathematical concepts, and shadow variations to create a visual illusion that transcends the boundaries of the analog and virtual worlds.

The hour and minute hands of the watch, as well as the movement, all use the same three-dimensional PVD coating technology first introduced on the DEFY 21 Felipe Pantone watch, reflecting a perfect metallic luster with a rainbow gradient effect. Despite following the standard innovative process, each set of watch hands will have slight color variations, making them unique works of art. The minute chronograph dial of the timing device presents a gradient color scheme, with each minute distinguished by different shades.

DEFY Extreme Felipe Pantone limited edition watch features a semi-transparent blue silicone strap that cleverly complements the blue transparent elements on the case; additionally, the watch also comes with a fully polished stainless steel bracelet and a black Velcro strap, simply press the safety button on the back of the case to easily switch.
