Jaeger-LeCoultre launches the new Polaris Date watch for a deep green adventure.

Since its inception, Jaeger-LeCoultre has always placed craftsmanship and aesthetics at the core of its values. As early as the 1950s, the brand introduced the iconic Memovox series of alarm watches. In the mid-20th century, they launched the first self-winding Memovox alarm watch, and in 1968, they introduced the groundbreaking Memovox Polaris diving alarm watch, further solidifying the brand’s reputation. This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre has taken inspiration from the 50th anniversary edition of the Memovox Polaris Date and released a new version designed in a green color scheme from previous years.

The newly launched Memovox Polaris Date watch continues the tradition of combining functionality and design in the Memovox Polaris series, showcasing its modern watchmaking features. In terms of design, the watch is primarily in the popular deep green color, transitioning from light olive green to lush rainforest green, presenting different shades under different angles of light. The dual-gradient lacquered dial is embellished with various textures, combining opal decorations, grained decorations, and sunburst patterns, cleverly distinguishing the inner bezel and the track-style minute track area, ensuring clear readability without compromising the appearance.

Furthermore, to highlight the versatility of this timepiece for different environments, the brand has used a matte finish on the sturdy 42mm case, combining a satin-brushed dial, beveled and polished lugs, and a slim bezel. The hour markers are also adorned with vanilla-colored Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, paying homage to this classic watch from 1968. Additionally, to ensure the watch can be worn in a flexible and versatile manner, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date comes with a rubber strap equipped with a quick-change system, also in green as the main color scheme.

In addition to its appearance, Jaeger-LeCoultre has also made many upgrades to the functionality of the Polaris Date watch. In terms of movement, the watch is equipped with the latest generation 899 mechanical movement, providing 70 hours of power reserve. The case has two crowns on the right side, with one at the 2 o’clock position that can set the inner rotating bezel, helping the wearer to accurately measure time deviations or conduct countdowns. Additionally, the watch has a water resistance of up to 200 meters, allowing it to maintain its excellent performance in extreme environments.

It should be noted that, unlike previous methods, the newly launched Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date watch is exclusively available in stores, so Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced that the watch will be exclusively available on the brand’s e-commerce platform for one month. Watch fans who are interested in getting their hands on it should not miss out.
