Since the Tokyo Olympics first included skateboarding as a competitive event, the skateboarding trend has gradually emerged in Asia and has been increasingly valued. In order to promote skateboarding culture, Hysan Place has created Hong Kong’s first covered skateboard park in the bustling city center called “Urban Park”. They have also specially invited Lucien Clarke, an internationally renowned skateboarder, from the UK to attend the opening ceremony and set up their own brand, DCV’87, with a world tour project called “GOING PLACES” pop-up store at the plaza.

For Hong Kong people, Lucien Clarke may be unfamiliar, but in the skateboarding world, he is highly recognized. Apart from being the creative director for top European streetwear brand Palace and American brand DC Shoe, he was also invited by Virgil Abloh, the then creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear, to collaborate on the brand’s first-ever skateboarding shoe in its 166-year history. Recently, Lucien was once again invited to participate in the creation of the Palace Gucci collection, a collaboration between Gucci and Palace, which has shaken the entire fashion industry.
