Louis Vuitton continues series collaboration with NBA, launching championship trophy Monogram collection box.

The NBA Finals are very intense, with the GSW Golden State Warriors continuing their Game 2 showdown against the BOS Celtics at home, finally delivering the expected performance to tie the series at 107:88. Another piece of good news this season in the NBA is that Louis Vuitton recently announced the continuation of their collaboration with the league from 2020, launching the third collaborative series inspired by the brand’s luggage, once again celebrating the values embodied by the sport of basketball.

At the same time, as the season enters the finals stage, Louis Vuitton has also designed a Monogram handmade luggage collection based on the brand’s century-old luggage for the NBA official championship trophy Larry O’Brien Trophy.

This season’s collection brings a variety of carefully crafted pieces, accurately capturing the essence of basketball, showcasing its infectious energy and inspiring power. This includes the Christopher backpack, Keepall 55, Dopp Kit, pouch wallet, as well as two other masterpieces – a watch box that can hold eight watches and the classic Malle Courrier trunk. Furthermore, both of these masterpieces are adorned with a unique NBA color scheme for the first time.

In terms of design, all products are made of Monogram-embossed electric blue Taurillon leather, while the new basketball-shaped oversized LV logo adopts the vibrant colors of the NBA logo. The series cleverly transforms the brand’s classic elements, such as adding a basketball net to the side of the Keepall bag, adorned with gold chains and metal details, paying tribute to the legendary NBA trophy, faithfully adhering to the original intention of the Louis Vuitton x NBA series in terms of design, ingeniously reshaping all styles of this season, and maintaining a consistent unique style and charm.

A series of classic Louis Vuitton luggage and bags accurately capture the essence of basketball, showcasing its infectious energy and inspiring power. The design also adheres to the original intention of the Louis Vuitton x NBA series, maintaining a consistent unique style and charming allure, and incorporating the late men’s creative director Virgil Abloh’s vision – the players’ desire to surpass themselves, team spirit, friendship, and inclusivity.

As for the Larry O’Brien Trophy to be presented to the NBA champions this month, in addition to being redesigned by Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton has specially arranged for senior craftsmen from the Asnières workshop near Paris to carefully handcraft a new trophy travel case.

The craftsman used Louis Vuitton’s luggage as a blueprint for over 160 years, covering the surface with the brand’s classic Monogram canvas, hand-painting the “V” symbol representing victory in red, white, and blue colors representing the NBA, and complemented by sturdy brass locks and accessories. The interior is lined with microfiber printed with the NBA 75th-anniversary logo, further confirming the belief that “Louis Vuitton walks hand in hand with victory.” As for the Larry O’Brien Trophy and its LV trophy luggage, which team will it fall to, all fans must not miss the intense battles of the NBA Finals.
