Fashion brand continues to step into the sports world! Recently, FENDI, originating from Rome, happily announced a major collaboration with the AS Roma football club from the same place, to tailor official clothing for Roma’s players in the upcoming 22/23 and 23/24 Serie A seasons.
FENDI’s Creative Director for Menswear, Silvia Venturini Fendi, will take the helm of this project. She expressed her excitement about the collaboration between two iconic representatives of Roman culture and history, stating: “The concept of this collaboration project is to reinterpret the characteristics and values of FENDI and AS Roma, leveraging the common origins from Rome and the close connection to the ‘Eternal City’ to seamlessly blend the worlds of sports and fashion.”
Silvia Venturini Fendi revealed the color tones and themes of the collection, using the symbolic elegant deep blue as the core, complemented by the team’s iconic yellow and deep red colors over the years, using top-quality Italian materials to create unique team uniforms for the team, highlighting the historical status of this European association league champion.
Originating from Rome, embodying the historical value of the eternal city, FENDI’s Chairman and CEO Serge Brunschwig stated that this groundbreaking collaboration project is a tribute to Rome, as well as to two classics founded in this city – first FENDI in 1925, followed by AS Roma in 1927.” AS Roma’s Vice Chairman Ryan Friedkin also stated that this collaboration with FENDI demonstrates the club’s further progress towards international excellence, while maintaining the unique essence of the city of Rome.
FENDI’s stylish look created for AS Roma will debut at the start of the 2022/23 Serie A season in late August 2022. Fans, in addition to paying attention to the start of the new season, why not take a look at the team’s new look after changing into new outfits.
