Combining the best of French genes, BERLUTI collaborates across disciplines with the BWT Alpine F1 team?

This season, F1 has started a “major change” to kick off the new season, marking the first large-scale rule change in nearly 40 years for F1. With several races underway this season, the Alpine F1 team from France has seen a significant improvement with the addition of new sponsor BWT and the excellent design of the new season’s car, the A522. Benefiting from the rising popularity of F1 and the consistent performance of both drivers, Alpine recently announced a new partnership with the century-old French leather goods brand BERLUTI, and launched their first collaborative clothing collection.

Berluti will create elegant looks for the two drivers of the BWT Alpine F1 team – two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and young French driver Esteban Ocon – and the executive team, designing a perfect wardrobe that symbolizes the epitome of men’s elegance from head to toe.

After the collaboration, Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon will make appearances in BERLUTI outfits with the executive team on specific occasions, including formal suits, casual jeans, embroidered shirts, and cashmere coats. They will also wear accessories and shoes – such as the brand’s new Eden buckle shoes, classic Playtime casual shoes, and BERLUTI’s iconic Alessandro dress shoes. Additionally, the brand has specially dyed them in a Patina color inspired by the iconic blue of the Alpine team.

In addition, to echo the team’s representative color and this collaboration, Berluti will also use the same blue Patina to tailor a Venezia suitcase for storing the tank steering wheels designed for the two drivers. This unique and ingenious idea and creation not only became a pioneering work of Berluti and the brand craftsmen, but also a pioneering work in the history of F1 racing cars.

The collaboration news was announced during the past high-profile event – the Miami Grand Prix (Miami GP), and the two drivers were the first to wear the collection over the past weekend, representing the BWT Alpine F1 team visiting the local Berluti boutique. A few customers even got exclusive access to the race track and backstage. Furthermore, both parties announced that this cross-border collaboration will continue at another highlight race on May 29 – the Monaco Grand Prix (Monaco GP) – and will run throughout the year.

What surprises will BERLUTI and the Alpine team bring at the Monaco stop at the end of this month? Will the A522 tank, which appeared with the iconic “pink” livery of main sponsor BWT this year, change to a special livery with the BERLUTI brand characteristics at the Monaco stop? Fashion enthusiasts, car enthusiasts, stay tuned for more information.
