The Paris Fashion Week kicked off with SAINT LAURENT led by Anthony Vaccarello taking the spotlight on the second day, continuing the brand’s tradition with a brand new Winter 2022 fashion show at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Among the 55 looks in the collection, once again, the balance between strength and softness in women was depicted, a theme that has been explored since the 50s and 60s, but Anthony Vaccarello never fails to impress.
The focus of this fashion show is everywhere, but for Hong Kong people, the biggest surprise this time is definitely the appearance of a voice in the background music of the show. In the middle of the show, you will faintly hear a voice singing in Cantonese. This is not an illusion, what you hear is the background music produced by Anthony Vaccarello, featuring the classic song “難得有情人” by veteran Hong Kong female singer Shirley Kwan.
The music for this season’s fashion show continues to be remixed by the brand’s official music producer, DJ Sebastian. The remixed version of “Rare Lover” adds a touch of psychedelic feeling compared to the original, complementing the shining Parisian iron structure on the catwalk and background. This makes the short chorus even more flavorful.
