Paul Smith’s first home fragrance series, the charming scent leads into Sir Paul’s beautiful memories.

by

In recent years, many fashion brands have launched home collections, and Paul Smith has introduced its first home fragrance series, including reusable scented candles and diffusers, featuring the brand’s signature vibrant colors and eye-catching designs, adding fragrance to the home while also decorating it.

The series includes four fragrances, each inspired by some of Sir Paul’s most memorable moments; each fragrance carefully crafted by two renowned perfumers from IFF (International Flavors and Fragrances), Céline Barel and Meabh McCurtin, aiming to present Paul Smith’s unique delicate emotions. The selected ingredients include premium natural essential oils from LMR Natural (Laboratoire Monique Remy). In line with Sir Paul’s unique British humor, each fragrance is named with idioms, symbolizing different personalities, including:

Botanist: Inspired by the sharp tailoring suits from Paul Smith’s flagship store in Nottingham, exuding a fresh scent of freshly cut grass and green landscapes, with notes of vetiver, moss, and lemon.

Bookworm: The scent evokes the layered books and documents in Paul Smith’s office, exuding the warm tones of a library and amber, refined with Jamaican guava, grapefruit, and cedarwood.

Early Bird: reminiscent of the iron railings recycled from Paul Smith’s London store, aiming to recreate the scent of raindrops falling on a wet road in the early morning mist, blending Indonesian patchouli essential oil, iris, and rainwater.

Daydreamer: Inspired by Sir Paul’s long summer journey, the fragrance evokes a garden overgrown with herbs, with the image of cycling along the golden fields at sunrise and sunset still vivid in the mind, blended with French lavender essential oil, clary sage, and vetiver.

In terms of packaging design, each fragrance bottle is made of complementary dual-color glass for reuse (diffusers can be used as vases, candle holders can be used as storage bottles), and the bottle cap can also be used as a heat-resistant and waterproof coaster. The striking container design focuses on the interaction of light and color, echoing Paul Smith’s classic Signature Stripe under candlelight.
