Ferrari’s new car release is not the Purosangue, but the convertible version of this V6 hybrid new car?

Easter holiday is over, and unexpectedly, Ferrari has prepared a “late surprise” for all car fans. The brand yesterday released a video on official social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, announcing directly that a new Ferrari Berlinetta model will be unveiled on April 19 at 2 pm Central European Time – which is 8 pm tonight Hong Kong time.

Only 13 seconds of the trailer, Ferrari did not reveal which series the new model will come from, and the fast-paced editing did not expose too many details. Everyone can only vaguely see that the new car will be a new car with a blue body. Even though the brand wrote “the latest mid-rear engine berlinetta” in the post, basically there is no official information disclosed to the fans.

However, there are still clues in the trailer. From the detailed images in the trailer, it can be seen that the new car will be equipped with the same gearbox platform as the 296 GTB, a fully digital instrument panel, and steering wheel button device, plus earlier foreign “spy photos” captured a new car very similar to the 296 GTB being tested, so it is highly likely that the new car will be the long-rumored 296 GTS, which is the convertible version of the 296 Spider. However, Ferrari has not confirmed this in any way, so for now, no media outlet knows the identity of the new car and must wait for the full disclosure to confirm.

As for the specifications, it is currently known that the new car will be a new mid-rear layout car, but it is estimated that the new car will use the dual-turbocharged 3.0L V6 hybrid powertrain carried by the 296 GTB, with a maximum horsepower output of 819 hp and a torque of 740 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds. Even though the new car will be improved, it is estimated to still be very close to the performance figures of the GTB.

Currently, the only information that everyone can understand or can understand is the above information. The only thing to pay attention to is that due to the need to handle the folding roof device of the new car, the design of the rear end may be very different from the 296 GTB, and it can be confirmed that it will be slightly heavier than the original hardtop version. As for what kind of new car Ferrari will ultimately bring, all car fans remember to welcome the brand’s latest new car launch at 8 o’clock tonight.
