Ferrari’s first SUV real body unexpectedly exposed, Purosangue combines multiple current models in one?

In recent years, in terms of Ferrari’s development, what car enthusiasts are most concerned about, besides the car manufacturer’s focus on the electric generation, I believe the development of the SUV model Ferrari Purosangue is also the most anticipated issue for car fans and the automotive industry. As a result, after waiting for three years, a series of leaked photos recently seem to finally put an end to these rumors.

Ferrari Purosangue

Recently, social media Instagram user Wilco Blok (@wilcoblok) uploaded a photo taken at Ferrari’s Maranello factory, showing a model that has never been revealed before, without any camouflage decals, and the picture clearly captures the front and rear details of the car, suggesting that it is likely the rumored Purosangue that has been circulating for over three years.

As Ferrari’s first SUV model, from the image it can be seen – assuming the image is accurate – that the Purosangue features a modular headlight design similar to the SF90, seamlessly integrated with the body lines, reminiscent of the GTC4Lusso. Additionally, the air intake grille, previously expected to be positioned alongside the headlights, is actually located below the bumper, leading some analysts to suggest that this grille will play a crucial role in the vehicle’s air intake operation.

As for the rear of the car, what can be seen is a design similar to the 296 GTB with tail lights, aerodynamic components, quad exhaust tips, a slightly arched ducktail spoiler, and a full-width light strip that appears to connect the two sets of tail lights. In addition, both sides of the body and the front fender “skirts” are covered with black plastic body cladding, and considering its height, this Purosangue has a distinct SUV flavor.

As for the specifications, although there are no close-up photos of the car engine compartment this time, there have been multiple rumors in the past that the Purosangue will be equipped with a 4.0L turbocharged V8 engine, along with an updated electric motor – some analysis suggests that Ferrari is not considering this configuration much, as this design would conflict with the hybrid setup of the SF90 Stradale – therefore, it is estimated that a pure V8 turbocharged engine will bring 769 horsepower, 800 Nm of torque; or, there are also rumors that Ferrari is very likely to equip it with the 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 engine currently used in the 812 Superfast; or even rumors that the Purosangue will fill the gap in the base model with a V6 hybrid system (used in the 296 GTB), creating a new model capable of delivering 819 horsepower and 740Nm of torque.

However, what appearance and strength Purosangue will ultimately debut with, I believe only Ferrari will know, so fans may want to wait patiently. The last good news is that there were actually internal documents earlier confirming that Ferrari will start production in 2022 and start delivering to customers next year. So, the factory is very likely to suddenly announce the arrival of Purosangue, so everyone should pay close attention!
