Going to Japan, everything tastes especially delicious! Not to mention desserts, cakes, bread, and more. This time, I recommend two shops that only sell cheesecakes. As a dessert lover, cake lover, and cheesecake lover, you must save this post!
The first one is called House Cheese Cake, which only opened in late September last year. It is located in the Hiroo district, just 5-10 minutes away from the Metro station. The ground floor is a cake workshop and retail point, while the first floor is a café that serves coffee and other beverages. This shop only sells cheesecakes, and what makes it special is that they use different types of cheese to make them. They have blue cheese and Camembert, and the blue cheese cheesecake has a rich and savory flavor with bits of cheese in every bite.
Camembert is particularly smooth, and there are also flavors like vanilla, orange, and caramel. The whole cheese comes in different sizes, and you can buy it back to the hotel to enjoy slowly instead of having it at the café.
The second recommended store is named Beltz, located in the Ebisu area, actually between Ebisu and Hiroo. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from Hiroo Station. This store is more focused compared to other stores, selling only original Basque cheesecakes in two different sizes, with a creamier texture.
This store is also very Instagrammable, from the outside it looks like a whole white house, with about ten seats inside, and the patterned walls have a European charm.
The nearby area is a quiet residential area, with many cafes and small shops in both Hiroo and Ebisu. In addition to trying cheesecake, you can also discover more Instagrammable spots.
