PMQ mooncakes, street market red lantern-shaped paper art! Check-in to receive a mini mooncake lantern.

PMQ brings the “Gathering at PMQ” event this Mid-Autumn Festival, lighting up over 300 creatively designed paper lanterns hanging in the corridors and terraces of PMQ! Local creative design team Stickyline also created two geometric 3D paper lanterns!

One of the paper art lanterns is shaped like a mooncake, symbolizing family reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival. PMQ also invited community members, design units from PMQ, and others to paint and decorate the mooncake lantern together, aiming to unite the community through design. Another lantern is modeled after the “red lampshade of the street market,” a plastic lampshade that is a collective memory of Hong Kong people and a unique impression of Hong Kong in the eyes of foreign tourists. Therefore, Stickyline designed a lantern in the shape of the street market red lampshade inspired by this.

In addition, PMQ has invited six design units including SUGARCOATSTORE, Cynthia & Xiao, etc., to transform five semi-open corridors into lantern viewing booths with different themes, allowing everyone to experience the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere.

Simply take a photo with the lantern installation at PMQ, upload and share it on your personal social media platform, and you can receive a limited edition mini mooncake lantern for free. There are also paints and DIY materials available on-site for you to unleash your creativity and create your own unique Mid-Autumn lantern.
