The sixth generation of the Peak Tram will debut on August 27th, featuring a retro green body, increased passenger capacity, and significantly reduced waiting time for passengers. It will be much more convenient to take the tram to the peak for a check-in photo in the future!
The Central and Peak Tram Terminus have also been renovated, with the Central Terminus adding several experiential areas, including the exhibition of the over 10-meter-high sculpture “Eye of Infinity” created by Australian Chinese artist Lindy Lee, a replica of the first generation Peak Tram, and the opportunity to relive the important history of Hong Kong and the Peak Tram over the past hundred years through high-definition screens.
The other experience area, “The Green Treasure of Tai Ping Mountain,” also has a display wall that surrounds the diverse flora and fauna of Tai Ping Mountain, as well as the day and night of Tai Ping Mountain, providing an immersive experience that is a must-visit spot!
The Peak Tram has launched a series of promotions during the opening phase, including flash online offers (from now until the day before the opening) and a Thank You Hong Kong Pass (from opening day to October 30). At the same time, a limited edition “Super Fan Set” is also available, including a round-trip ticket for the Peak Tram, admission ticket to Sky Terrace 428, a limited edition thermal bottle for the 6th generation Peak Tram, an eco-friendly bag for the 6th generation Peak Tram, a Peak Tram themed notebook, and a limited edition commemorative ticket set.
