Do you prefer bread or cookies? No need to choose between the two! Popular online store BAOs has opened a pop-up in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, where they sell their delicious mochi-filled buns. The outer layer, which looks like a pineapple bun, is actually made of crispy cookie crust. The shop owner specially made the cookie crust less sweet and low in sugar, making the overall taste more balanced!
Mochi buns come in various flavors and colors. Just by looking at their appearance, they are already very eye-catching. Each bun is filled with a generous amount of filling and comes with different flavored pipettes for guests to squeeze into the bun before eating.

And the matcha cream filling is paired with a matcha chocolate. Other flavors include “peanut butter lover” (peanut butter), “taro addict,” “Oreo cookie,” etc. Regardless of the flavor, they all have a large mochi filling made with Japanese milk, which is soft and smooth.
Mochi buns are $42 each when purchased individually, $262 for a box of six of your choice, and $252 for a box of six with specified flavors. The Pop-up store is open until May 9th, so bread lovers don’t miss out!
