Traditional British Sunday roast is a local culinary tradition in the UK, where British people enjoy a hearty meat platter feast after attending Sunday worship every week. Recently, the newly opened British pub, 69 on Jervois Bar and Grill in Sheung Wan, has introduced their own version of the Great British Sunday roast!
69 on Jervois offers a four-course barbecue set menu (HK$398) every Sunday from 12pm to 7pm. The menu includes a soup, followed by a choice of traditional cocktail prawns, stuffed baked portobello mushrooms, or Caesar salad.
The main dishes include juicy grilled beef and another selection of grilled meat, as well as fish or vegetarian dishes. There are also roasted potatoes with duck fat, cheesy cauliflower, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, and more. Finally, for dessert, there is apple crumble with peach or vanilla ice cream.
If you want to have a richer experience, you can also choose the cheese platter, or upgrade to the unlimited drinks package for an additional HK$298, and enjoy cocktails, selected premium British sparkling wine, rosé wine, or red wine!
