This bakery “Doughman” in Lai Chi Kok has only been open for a little over two months. It specializes in Western-style bread, including pastries, bagels, sourdough bread, Focaccia, cinnamon rolls, and more. They also have a coffee machine where you can order various types of takeaway coffee.

During different times of the day, there is a constant flow of people passing by this store. The storefront and interior design are simple with a touch of European boutique style. Inside, there are neatly arranged large bags of flour. It turns out that one of the store owners, who is also a chef, used to work as a pastry chef at the Island Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong. They insist on using high-quality ingredients such as Japanese flour and French butter, ensuring a high standard of quality.

Croissant ($18) Each one is cut open to reveal a honeycomb-like texture, with options including almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and Danish pastry.

Bread lovers must try the various flavors of bagels, each one evenly shaped and crispy. They are filled with a generous amount of filling. The most popular flavors are sesame and matcha red bean mochi ($24). The black sesame filling is stuffed inside the bagel, which is chewy, while the filling is soft and has a mochi-like texture. It is a delicious choice for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a light lunch!
