Following Japan, Malaysia, and Shanghai, the Japanese streetwear brand A BATHING APE®’s BAPE CAFE!?® has recently landed in Tsim Sha Tsui’s Harbour City, sharing the same space as BAPE STORE®.
BAPE CAFE!?® features a single-person bar area and a multi-person dining area. The bar area is made of frosted stainless steel and marble, complemented by the “FIBER SHELL CHAIR” camouflage dining chairs created in collaboration with BAPE® and MODERNICA. The multi-person dining area is designed with LINE CAMO frosted stainless steel and ABC camouflage sofas, making it one of the popular spots to take photos. The store also showcases a collection of rare items from BAPELAND in Japan.
The “BAPE® Burger” in the store combines Western and Japanese fusion styles, with a juicy and tender burger patty sandwiched between toasted buns, accompanied by vegetables and special sauce. The paper tag on the burger features the logo of the ape, while the wrapping paper is printed with a camouflage pattern of the ape.
The main course includes Hong Kong-exclusive “Miso Cod with Mashed Potatoes” and “Creamy Lobster and Scallop Linguine”. The former has a rich and flavorful taste after marinating the cod, while the latter features a generous portion of split lobster, full of freshness.
The selection of Japanese-style skewers is abundant, including scallion chicken skewers, grilled eel, grilled pork, salt-grilled beef tongue, and grilled jade melon, among others. They can be ordered individually or as a combination of skewers. As for the Instagrammable desserts, there are “BAPE® Hazelnut Chocolate Cake” and “BAPE® Ice Cream Waffle”. The “ape” logo transforms into chocolate crisps, adding a playful touch.
