The Jockey Bar & Club House combines British pub and American sports bar styles, and faces the finishing line of the racecourse in Happy Valley, making it a great place for a drink or a weekday lunch.
Monday to Friday offers a rich lunch set (HK$99) with options for appetizers such as Flaming Mozzarella Buffalo Cheese Sticks, Buffalo City Spicy Chicken Wings, Heinz Beef Skewers, Garden Salad, and main course options including Bolognese Pasta, Green Tomato Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Classic Chicken Sandwich, The Good Ol’ Jockey Cheeseburger, and Jockey Spicy Ribs, etc.
“The Signature Reuben Sandwich” (HK$173) is available all day, including Italian Peroni beer and fries. The sandwich replaces traditional smoked meat with slow-cooked beef brisket and salted beef tongue, and the classic Thousand Island dressing is replaced with a uniquely Hong Kong-style Thousand Island dressing. It is then topped with Japanese salt koji-fermented onions instead of German sauerkraut, along with pickles, fermented onions, garlic aioli, and a spicy sauce made with small chili peppers and tomatoes, enhancing the layers of flavor.
As for Happy Hour, it runs from 4pm to 9pm every Monday to Friday. In addition, Mondays are “Wing Night,” where you can enjoy Buffalo wings with fries for just HK$5, with a variety of sauce options; Wednesdays are “Hong Kong Spicy Chicken Night,” starting at 6pm, featuring Chef Vinny’s famous fried chicken with Hong Kong-style garlic chili oil and Jockey boot fries. And on the first and third Tuesday of each month, there is a “Trivia Night” with free entry and the chance to win great prizes by guessing the riddles.
