The Wan Chai hotel “AKI Hong Kong-MGallery” with a stylish Japanese tatami room concept recently opened, and the rooftop whiskey bar Uncle Ming’s is now officially open, adding another great spot for Happy Hour!
Uncle Ming’s offers 36 varieties of Scotch single malt whisky and blended whisky, such as rare Macallan 18 Year Old Single Malt, Royal Salute 21 Year Old Whisky, and more. If you want to try whiskies from different regions, you can choose the “Around the World Set” to taste whiskies from Scotland, Japan, Taiwan, France, India, and the United States all at once.
There are also unique whiskey cocktails, such as the “Oolongtini” made with Monkey Shoulder whiskey, mixed with oolong tea, yuzu honey, and orange peel, inspired by Queen Victoria’s habit of adding a little whiskey to her tea in the morning. The “Boulevardier” is named after the French term for “playboy,” made with Baker’s 7-year-old whiskey, sweet vermouth, and Campari.
