Great quality Taiwanese-style small shop! Hearty oyster Lu Rou Fan/thick taro milk.

by

It seems that the overall clearance is not yet clear. Why not go to Tai Kok Tsui for a pseudo-Taiwan authentic tour first! It’s about the Taiwanese small shop “好吃吃光”, which has super affordable prices, high food quality, and not many seats in the small shop, often full of people.

Must-try signature “Oyster Lu Rou Fan” (lunch HK$58), is a very authentic Taipei night market delicacy. Normally in Hong Kong, we often eat regular Lu Rou Fan, but here they generously cover the rich oysters on top of the Lu Rou Fan, accompanied by spring onions and raw egg yolk. The rich sweetness of the Lu Rou Fan paired with the fresh oysters is very delicious. If you don’t eat oysters, you can choose “Salt and Pepper Chicken Lu Rou Fan” (lunch HK$58), the chicken pieces are quite large, fried to be crispy and not greasy.

How can Taiwanese cuisine be complete without egg pancakes? Who would have thought there would be a “Cheese and Potato Pancake Egg Pancake” (HK$35) with a crispy egg pancake on the outside, filled with half-melted cheese, potato pancake, lettuce, the texture is very rich, surprising and satisfying.

The drinks are quite sincere, a must-try for taro lovers is the “Taro Milk” (HK$36 frozen drink), with a thick taro paste at the bottom of the cup in a light purple color, mixed with fresh milk to taste the real taro flesh, not too sweet, very substantial.

Address: Shop 4, Po Man Street, Tai Kok Tsui
