Central elegant French Mediterranean restaurant! Soft light pink artistic decoration, afternoon tea with French caviar/champagne.

In recent years, there have been many more choices for trying Mediterranean cuisine, and HUSO, which combines Mediterranean and French culinary elements, opened in Central earlier. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in soft light colors with a fashionable and minimalist style, suitable for taking photos, and the walls are adorned with female paintings by local artist Yannes Choy Ka-yan, adding a touch of French elegance to the space.

HUSO specializes in pairing champagne and premium caviar with different dishes, with its name derived from the sturgeon, which produces top-quality caviar varieties. The French caviar Caviar Français has an exceptional salty and fresh taste, while there is also an entry-level caviar with a richer and more intense texture. The champagnes include Vilmart et Cie Grande Reserve Premier Cru Brut, with fresh fruit aromas of pear and cherry, and Maison Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Vintage 2012 from the premier vineyards of the Montagne de Reims in northern France.

The restaurant recently introduced a brand new afternoon tea set, filled with authentic Mediterranean coastal flavors. Savory options include Spanish gazpacho, salmon spread with bread, hand-cut beef tartare, select cured ham, while exquisite desserts include French macarons, mini cheesecakes, tiramisu, caviar milk ice cream with champagne jelly, and freshly baked English scones served with rich clotted cream and tangy strawberry jam. For an even more indulgent experience, you can add two glasses of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée NV champagne and 10 grams of French caviar!

There is also a dinner tasting menu, with options for appetizers such as citrus kale salad, Hokkaido scallops with tomato salsa, hand-cut beef tartare, or Japanese oysters with caviar. Main courses include red wine braised chicken, crispy duck leg, and paper-wrapped oven-baked fish. One standout dish is the slow-roasted USDA beef rump, cooked at low temperature and then carefully seared to perfection, with crispy edges and a rich, tender texture. Finally, choose between a Japanese dessert or caviar milk ice cream with champagne jelly to satisfy your “second stomach”!
