Little Cove Espresso in Sai Kung has always been crowded, even after several years of opening, its popularity has only increased! The editor has tried going on a weekday morning at 9 am and there was already a line! The food options, ingredients, coffee and beverage flavors, as well as the atmosphere and decor of the cafe, all have the quality of an Australian-style cafe! Recently, the coffee shop has finally expanded out of Sai Kung and opened a branch in Kennedy Town!
The new store is spacious, creating a comfortable sense of space, with a simple yet detail-oriented interior design. Two coffee machines are placed on the coffee bar without any extra decorations, and in the center of the restaurant, there is a large table. Near the window, wooden benches are placed, allowing customers to enjoy their food slowly while facing the sea near Kennedy Town.
New styles have been added to the menu, with many dishes incorporating a large amount of vegetables and fruits. The “Beef Benedict” (HK$145) slow-cooks grass-fed beef until tender and flavorful, served with avocado, apple cider hollandaise sauce, and a poached egg, accompanied by whole wheat sourdough bread, making it rich in flavor and generous in portion.
“Slow Cooked Lamb” (HK$145) features slow-cooked lamb with roasted broccoli, Italian zucchini, beetroot sauce, and crispy chips, balancing the rich flavor of the lamb with vegetables. “Ricotta Hotcakes” (HK$125) are fluffy ricotta hotcakes served with light mascarpone cheese, passion fruit, mixed berries, hazelnut brittle, and caramel sauce, offering just the right amount of sweetness and tartness.
In addition to coffee, you can also try non-coffee lattes such as turmeric, Chai, chocolate beetroot, using healthy superfood ingredients, paired with oat milk.
Although no longer need to travel far to Sai Kung, the coffee shop was full on the first day of business, attracting many foreigners and residents nearby. I believe that the crowd in Sai Kung will soon appear in Kennedy Town!
