Upscale Chinese restaurant Chinesology transforms into a nostalgic “Tang Shu Bing Sut”! Head chef Zhou Shitao and bar manager Zeng Zanfan join hands to create an interesting Bing Sut menu inspired by everyone’s childhood memories of tea house food and drinks!
“The Spicy Tomato Croquette” (HK$78) has a crispy outer layer, filled with spicy tomato sauce, the mildly spicy croquette balances the sweetness of the syrup. “Satay Pineapple Beef” (HK$98) uses homemade mini pineapple buns, with the filling transformed into satay beef, rich in savory flavor. “Gin Jelly” (HK$108) made with Gin, these jelly candies shaped like paper umbrellas are quite nostalgic!
The cocktail also has a Hong Kong-style tea memory flavor. The “Tang Shu Hand-pulled Milk Tea” (HK$118) mixes Tang Shu’s own Gin with egg yolk wine, 10-year-old port wine, and a tea base made with black and white evaporated milk and three-flower evaporated milk. It has a tea aroma and the taste of alcohol is not too strong. When served, it is topped with dry ice, and the cup is made in the style of a tea restaurant takeout cup, definitely a must-try!
“Pineapple Breeze” (HK$118) is made with freshly squeezed pineapple juice, lime, Tanqueray Gin, and champagne, topped with a dried pineapple slice. It is torched tableside, releasing a fragrant aroma that fills the air, providing a multi-sensory experience.
“The Explosive Ginger Joy” (HK$118) combines the fragrant local brand Fu Hing Gin with ginger, agave, cola; “Beef Red Soup” (HK$128) brings the main flavor with Yujunyi pepper sauce, mixed with Fu Hing Gin, preserved plum, tomato juice, and beef broth, creating a Hong Kong-style flavored Bloody Mary!
The restaurant menu will be launched on August 18th, available on Thursdays and Fridays from 6-8:30pm, where drinks and snacks can be combined into set selections. The restaurant also offers a wide view of Victoria Harbour, making it a great spot for happy hour to enjoy the sunset!
