The hotel restaurant is promoting a seafood-themed lunch on Saturdays! Whole lobster tail claypot rice, seafood-shaped three-tier dessert.

Sleeping in until you naturally wake up on the weekend and then leisurely enjoying lunch is definitely a must-do activity. If you love seafood, you can pay attention to the new “Three-Course Seafood Feast” offered every Saturday at Lobster Bar and Grill at Island Shangri-La.

The appetizers include freshly shucked seasonal oysters, house-smoked herb salmon belly, tuna tataki with avocado, beef tataki with red onions, or the signature seafood platter. There are also a variety of seafood options for the main course, with a recommendation being the “Salmon Wellington” which is a twist on the classic Russian dish, served with saffron rice, egg yolk, and egg white on the side instead of being wrapped in puff pastry.

The “Lobster Puff Pastry” is filled with a round flaky pastry full of buttery aroma, containing a filling made of lobster meat, scallops, chives, and lemon zest, while the “Lobster Claypot Rice” steams whole lobster tails in a clay pot, served with Japanese rice mixed with scallions and ginger, and a secret vegetarian XO sauce, very flavorful.

The final dessert part is also a highlight, the hotel pastry chef brings a “seafood tower”, and the silver three-tiered stand is filled with various seafood-shaped desserts, including banana drag fat pie disguised as oysters, vanilla French caramel stewed egg scallops, chocolate almond crispy shaped like lobster tails, almost lifelike!
