Central European style new restaurant! A variety of rare European authentic pork dishes, exclusive craft beer.

by

The founders of the new restaurant Porkcentric come from Poland and Italy respectively, with “pork” holding a very important place in their culinary culture. Therefore, they decided to open a restaurant with this theme in mind, specially sourcing 5 types of pork dishes, including American Duroc pork, British Hampshire pork, Japanese Kagoshima black pork, Italian Cinta Senese pork, and Hungarian Mangalica pork, each with unique flavors and textures.

Porkcentric offers a variety of dishes with unique Hong Kong flavors, among which the “Borscht” ($98) is made with beetroot as the main ingredient, along with Chinese cabbage and mushrooms. What sets it apart is the addition of roasted pork belly, enhancing the rich and savory taste, making it more flavorful than the usual Borscht.

“Crispy Fragrant Pork Belly” ($168) uses Spanish Iberico black pig, with evenly distributed marbling that brings a mouth-watering oiliness. The meat is exceptionally tender and juicy, paired with salsa verde and crisp European radish and apple slices to balance out the greasiness.

Those who love “meat” can try “Hungarian Mangalica Pork” ($568), this breed contains 60-70% marbling, known as the “Kobe beef” of the pork world! The restaurant uses Japanese Binchotan charcoal, apple charcoal, and Japanese compressed wood charcoal to grill it at 300-350 degrees, which can quickly lock in the juices and freshness. Other dishes such as braised Hampshire pig trotters, pig trotter cola cake, etc., are also pork dishes worth trying. The restaurant also offers a variety of seafood dishes, such as herring and grilled octopus, all full of authentic flavors.

In addition, a variety of beers are also another selling point of Porkcentric. The restaurant collaborates with the local craft brewery “Doorman Beer” to create an exclusive flavor called “Lotus Palace Tropical Style,” which has a sweet tropical fruit flavor. Other specialty beers include “Rice Brew Beer” brewed with Japanese sake, “Gluten-Free Lion Apple Cider,” and “Sun Wukong Beer” with peach, caramel, and toast flavors. If you want to chill on the weekend, come to this restaurant in Tai Hang area for a beer and enjoy a leisurely holiday!
